School Camp is always a highlight for our students and this year's Adventure Camp for our Year 6 students was no exception. I had the privilege of joining this group of students last week at Phillip Island, where they participated in a range of activities including go-carts, rock climbing, stand up paddle boarding, archery and the Giant Swing. All of the students participated in the wide range of activities, stepping out of their comfort zones and taking on every challenge. They visited the penguin parade and enjoyed a variety of initiatives also. The Camp Leaders and coaches for paddle-boarding commented on how polite and well mannered our students were, making us all very proud. It is always a joy to witness the growth, independence and resilience of our students, especially when they are away on Camp. I am excited about the potential of this years school leaders and know that they will be great role models for our whole school.
Last week all of the Year 6 students received their St John's badge and a leadership badge at the school assembly. They will lead in our school in The Arts, Sport, Wellbeing, Social Justice, Sustainability, Digital Technology, English and Maths. Stay tuned for all of the innovative ideas they will be putting into place at St John's this year.

All families who support the working bee will receive a $50 discount on their school fees.
We hope that you can join us!
As we commence the new school year we remind everyone to please keep your child at home if they are at all unwell. There is Whooping Cough in our community and still cases of COVID, so we ask that your child remains at home until they are well again, to prevent the further spread of these illnesses.
Parents are welcome to park on the basketball court for school drop off and to pick-up students after school.
Please note that the gate needs to be locked by 9.05am in the morning and is not opened again until the end of the day at 3.10pm, to help ensure the safety of our students.

Why couldn't the skeleton go to school? His heart just wasn’t in it.
