Dear MSC Community,
Welcome to our special ‘Welcome’ edition of MSC Links!
A reminder that next Tuesday 18th February is a student-free day for our Staff Professional Learning program; there are no scheduled classes that day.
This week we:
- Welcomed our next German BJR exchange student, Hannah, to the college for her 10 week stay hosted by Lisa with the Crossley family. Willkommen, Hannah!
Hosted Professor Keong Ku and twelve of her students from Keimyung University in South Korea.
They conducted Learning Walks around various classes in the school, exploring our teachers’ and students’ use of ICT in their classrooms.
- Welcomed our new Year 7s, inducted the Year 12s with their XII badges, and welcomed back representatives of the alumni Class of 2024 to present certificates of achievement (and to chat over afternoon tea).
- Guided a large group of prospective families through the college.
- Hosted our Year 7s and their parents at the Year 7 Family Welcome BBQ and Instrumental Music – the Instrumental Music team ‘welcomed’ the large number of applications for our ever-growing program.
- Held our combined Welcome to Country assembly with Mitcham PS, in the presence of our Koorie support staff (KESOs) Seth Nolan, Kira Peters and Mark Lumley. The Welcome to Country was conducted by Wurundjeri man Colin Hunter.
