Introducing.....Sandeep Goswami, German Teacher

Why did you decide to become a Teacher?

After working at a school as part of a voluntary social year, I knew that I want to help shape and direct young minds.

How long have you been in the teaching game?

Just over 4 years.

What was your last place of employment - school/university or another organisation?

A distance education language school. 

What do you love most about being a Teacher?

The moments students realize their progress and understand the little steps towards it. 

What has been one of your best teaching moments?

I haven’t been in the teaching game that long, but having former students reach out after they’ve finished school for a while is pretty special.

What would be 3 things that you would like the students to know about you

1. I care deeply about their growth and success.
2. I have high expectations but am always here to support them. 
3. I love learning about different cultures and languages.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

Algarve, Portugal

What TV show/series did you last binge watch?

It has been a while since I binged something, but I would like to take the opportunity to recommend something very binge worthy, especially to my German students. The show is called Dark and is on Netflix, make sure to watch it in the OV (Original Version). 

If you could wear Harry’s invisibility cloak for one day, where would you go and what would you do?   That’s Harry Potter’s cloak not Harry Ruff’s cloak 😊

I’d go to a Champions League final match, sit on the bench with the players, and experience the intensity from the sidelines.

What is the one piece of ‘advice’ or the one thing that you always say to your students?

Learning is a journey; celebrate every small step forward.
