IN THE SPOTLIGHT YEAR 7 CAMP (2 of 3)
The Year 7 camp at Coolamatong was an exciting and memorable experience for all involved. With perfect weather throughout the trip, students had the chance to engage in a variety of outdoor activities, build lasting friendships, and explore new challenges. Below are some reflections from the students, sharing their personal highlights and the moments that made this camp so special.
If you love water, adventure, excitement and awesomeness, you should go to Coolamatong.
Trust me, it was amazing.
My personal highlights were tubing, colour run, combat archery (yes, it is where you shoot people!!!) and canoeing. They gave us a lot of free time so that we could enjoy hanging out with our friends in our cabins and around the premises. If I had the option, I would definitely go again a couple more times - Ayden
Camp was an ADVENTURE. There were so many activities, from paddle boarding to tubing to the colour run and I had a blast through it all. The teachers ensured that we had almost all our friends in our cabin. Camp was a chance to make new friends and experience new things. A big thanks to the Coolamatong staff for being absolutely spectacular.
Some of my personal highlights were definitely tubing and I loved seeing people fall off. It was hilarious. If I had the opportunity to go again I would go in an instant without hesitation. Although the drive was 4 hours it was so worth it. Thank you to the staff of Coolamatong and the BHCS teachers because it wouldn't have been possible without you. - Aurellia
Camp was a wonderful experience. There were so many fun activities to do all day long. Some of these amazing activities were tubing, archery and paddle boarding.
The cabins were amazing. Everyone got most of their friends and had lots of fun.
Every breakfast and dinner one group helped to set up and another group helped pack up. But it was totally worth it. The food was delicious!
On the second last day, we had a colour run. We played games and threw jelly and coloured chalk at each other. It was amazing!
The camp staff were so fun and kind. All of the students became friends with them almost instantly.
Overall, camp Coolamatong was a great experience! - Layla
Never doubt and never miss out, especially on this camp. Coolamatong was one of the best experiences I've ever had, from shooting your friends in combat archery to knocking them off a paddle board, I couldn't ask for a better camp.
The jelly food fight was so fun, unlike the other jelly in the lake.
Not to mention the amazing boat rides, beach days and canoeing around the lake. And to top it all a heart-pumping adventure race to bring your team to victory. A huge thanks to the Coolamatong staff for the amazing food and shout out to them for the chocolate mousse. 5 stars!!! - Rosalie
