Sports Update

School Swimming Trials:

The School Swimming Trials for students interested in representing our school in the District Swimming Carnival will be held on Wednesday, 12th February 2025. The trials will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Aquanation in Ringwood and are open to Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 students.

Age Groups:

• 9/10-year-old boys and girls
• 11-year-old boys and girls
• 12/13-year-old boys and girls

Note: Students' ages will be based on their age as of 31st December 2025.

Swimming Requirements:

For students to qualify for the trials, they must be able to swim within the following qualifying times and perform the strokes correctly:

• 50m Freestyle – approximately 60 seconds
• 50m Backstroke – approximately 65 seconds
• 50m Breaststroke – approximately 70 seconds
• 50m Butterfly – approximately 70 seconds

If your child can swim under or close to these times, they will be eligible to attend the School Swimming Trials. 

Parents will need to transport their child to and from the pool.   

The District Swimming Carnival will take place on Thursday, 27th February 2025 at the Tintern Pool.
