Unit of Work and SEL

Our Unit of Work this term is Civics & Citizenship, in which we will cover the following guiding questions:

• What is democracy in Australia and why is voting in a democracy important?
• What are the roles and responsibilities of the different levels of government in Australia? (Local, State & Federal)
• How are laws developed and enforced in Australia? 

SEL

This term, we will continue with the updated Respectful Relationships units. 

The Respectful Relationships program is age appropriate, researched based and supports schools and early childhood settings to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.

Using the RRRR Program and our Cyber Safety units, (teaching students how to keep themselves safe online) we will be allocating time throughout the week to help build positive social interactions across the school community.
