Introducing Cathy & Grace
Wellbeing Update
Welcome back to Fairfield Primary School! We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and restful break, and you are all settling into the school routines again nicely.
We know transitioning to a new grade or even perhaps a new school can be stressful for some, so please reach out to Grace Clark or Cathy Turner if your child is in need of any additional support. This year Grace is working with the Foundation – Grade 3 students and works Monday to Friday. Cathy is working with the Grade 4 – Grade 6 students and works Monday to Thursday.
As the Wellbeing & Disability Inclusion Leading Teachers at Fairfield Primary School, part of our role includes supporting students who might be finding it difficult to come to school, working alongside parents and teachers to ensure appropriate strategies and tools are being used in the classroom to aid all students’ wellbeing, and create plans to document the strategies that work best for our students with additional learning or social/emotional needs.
If you would to get in contact with Grace or Cathy, please find our emails below:
As well as this, Cathy works on establishing consistency across the school with the implementation of the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships curriculum as mandated by the Department of Education.
Meanwhile, Grace works on the formation of School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS), and our FPS matrix of expected behaviours. You will read more about both of these initiatives in future newsletters.
