Dear Families,
In Week 4, students across 1 to 4 classes are taking Maths Treasure Boxes home for some fun Maths family engagement. Mathematics can be a challenging subject for children, but making it hands-on and interactive can transform learning into an exciting adventure. One of the best ways to encourage mathematical exploration at home is through our Maths Treasure Box. This simple yet powerful resource can engage your child’s curiosity and help them develop essential maths skills in a fun and creative way.
What is a Maths Treasure Box?
A Maths Treasure Box is a container filled with various items and materials that encourage mathematical thinking. The Maths Treasure Boxes contain resources that prompt children to explore numbers, shapes, patterns, and problem-solving.
Why Use a Maths Treasure Box?
Once the Treasure Box is returned back to class, the expectation is that your children would have to choose an activity that they have attempted at home and share their learning about it with the whole class.
It would be great if you encourage your child to explore, discover, and have fun with maths at home—one treasure at a time!
