Principal's Report

As we settle into the new school year, it has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which students and staff have embraced the many opportunities available to them. The energy around the school is palpable, and the commitment to both learning and extracurricular activities is already setting the tone for a fantastic year ahead.

Our senior students have kicked off their final year with great purpose, participating in the VCE Immersion Program. This invaluable experience provided them with essential study skills, strategies for success, and the inspiration to tackle the year ahead with confidence. Guest speakers shared motivational insights, encouraging our students to set goals and strive for their personal best.

In the sporting arena, the extreme heat may have altered our usual swim carnival plans, however many of our students demonstrated resilience and adaptability by taking part in swim trials instead. Their dedication and competitive spirit will serve them well as they now set their sights on the upcoming regional and state swim events.

On the arts front, the excitement is already building for our annual school production of Spamalot! Congratulations to all students who auditioned, and to those who have secured roles—we can’t wait to see the magic unfold on stage later this year.

School photos have been taken, capturing the smiling faces of our students as they embark on another year of learning and growth. These snapshots will serve as cherished memories of the friendships and experiences that make Brentwood so special.

A heartfelt thank you to our school captains for ensuring that Valentine’s Day was a memorable occasion. Their organisation of a photo booth, chocolate and letter deliveries added a touch of joy and connection to our school community—a beautiful reminder of the friendships and kindness that define Brentwood.

With so many activities already underway, I encourage all students to continue embracing the opportunities ahead. Whether in the classroom, on the field, on stage, or in leadership roles, the Brentwood experience is about making the most of every moment.

Let’s keep the momentum going and make this term one to remember!
