We warmly welcome you back to Term 2! We hope the recent break provided you with time for rest and reflection. As we enter this new term, we continue our journey of faith, learning, and community with hearts full of hope and purpose.
On Easter Monday, we sadly lost His Holiness Pope Francis, at the age of 88. Pope Francis led the Catholic Church with unwavering compassion, humility and a profound commitment to justice. He was a tireless advocate for the poor and homeless and frequently shared meals with those in need. His papacy was marked by a dedication to living out the Gospel through action, emphasising mercy, inclusivity and environmental stewardship.
We farewelled Pope Francis through a school Liturgy on Tuesday where all Pope Francis students participated in the service.
On May 8, 2025, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was elected as the 267th Pope of the Catholic Church, taking the name Pope Leo XIV.
Who is Pope Leo XIV?
Pope Leo XIV was born in Chicago, USA, and has spent many years working in Peru. He is a member of the Augustinian Order, a group of priests and brothers who focus on community and service. Before becoming pope, he was a bishop in Peru and worked closely with the Vatican to support the Church in Latin America. He is known for his kindness, dedication to helping others, and his support for social justice.
His “yes” is a gift to the Church and to the world.
As Pontifical Mission Societies, we unite our hearts with his in prayer and commitment, ready to walk together in our shared call to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Under his leadership, may our missionary efforts be renewed, our hearts encouraged, and our hands strengthened to serve those most in need.
Let us entrust his papacy to Mary, Mother of the Church, and continue proclaiming the Good News with faith, courage, and love.

This Sunday, we celebrate one of God’s greatest blessings, our mothers. Whether they are with us in person or live on in our hearts, we give thanks for the unconditional love, care, and faith they have shared with us.
At Our Lady of Fatima, we honor all mothers, grandmothers, and those who fill a mother’s role. May this Mother’s Day be a time of gratitude, joy, and reflection on the powerful role mothers play in shaping lives and nurturing faith.
Let us pray together:
Loving God, We thank You for the gift of mothers and all who care for us with a mother’s love. Bless them with strength, patience, and deep joy in their vocation.May they know how deeply they are loved and appreciated. For those mothers who are no longer with us, grant them eternal rest and keep them close to Your heart.Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, pray for all mothers, that they may follow your example of faith, courage, and love.
Amen
Wishing all our mothers a beautiful and blessed Mother's Day!
