SAFTA Pétanque Competition
On Thursday 13 March, four of our students — Holly and Eva (Year 7) and Ziyang and Charlie (Year 9) — took part in the South Australian French Teacher’s Association (SAFTA) annual Pétanque competition.
Despite never having played before, both teams showcased incredible determination and skill, making it all the way to the semi-finals!
The event was not just about competition but also about embracing French culture. Our students shared delicious croissants, bonded with other French language learners from across the state, and fully immersed themselves in the experience. Their enthusiasm and sportsmanship were a credit to our school, and we couldn't be prouder!
As the French faculty, we would also like to acknowledge the great interest in playing Pétanque and are happy to announce that we will be creating a Pétanque club in term two!
Well done to Holly, Eva, Ziyang, and Charlie for representing our school with such enthusiasm and team spirit! We're so excited to see the sport grow within our school.

Watch the 2025 Secondary Sports Day Video
Last Wednesday we held our first ever Sports Day at the SA Athletics Stadium with all Year 7 to Year 12 students.
The students participated in many athletic events including high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, sprints, relays and longer distance races.
Ruby, Emerald and Topaz chants started the day off with energy and friendly competition and we congratulate Topaz for taking the win 6 points behind Ruby. 🟡🔴🟢
