Let's Get Moving TEAM BPS!!!

Welcome to Term 2 everyone and 11 weeks of learning!! Hoping you are all doing well and ready for our term ahead! 

Our family had a great holiday and I enjoyed a splash painting class with my sister, running and gym workouts as well as getting to the park with our dog, Billie, every day! The weather was fantastic and lovely for outdoor adventures. I've heard a few stories from our students about camping, hiking, pyjama days, friend catchups, holidays both in Victoria and abroad and I even heard about someone finding 46 Easter eggs in an Easter egg hunt!!!! I asked our student, did they find the Easter Bunny and they said the bunny was nowhere to be found!!! 

I hope this term is a great one for us as a school as we head into the autumn and winter months. Have fun and stay active!!

Physical Education Units Term 2

What are out students learning about in term 2?

Foundation Grade 1 and Grade 2 - Throwing and Catching, Basketball bouncing, kicking (soccer and punt kick), locomotor movement activities (walking, skipping, running, hopping, jumping, galloping, sliding).

Grades 3-6 - Track and Field Athletics

BPS District Cross Country Team

Congratulations to our 60 Grade 3 - 6 athletes who will represent BPS on Monday 5th May at Ruffey Lake, Doncaster, in our Blackburn District Cross Country Championship. Our team will compete against seven other schools in the district as they run up and down the slopes of Ruffey Lake. We wish all our runners, staff and volunteers all the very best for the day.

Term 2 BPS Important Sporting Dates - 11 weeks

Term 2 – (Tuesday 22nd April – Friday 4th July)

District Cross Country - Monday 5th May – Ruffey Lake Park, Doncaster – (Week 3)

Division Cross Country – Monday 26th May – Ruffey Lake - 12.30pm – 2.30pm (Week 6)

District Winter sport round robin day – Grade 6’s (and selected grade 5's)
