Lent - Week 5

Gospel Focus: Love God, love others, love yourself

This Sunday 6th April, we celebrate the fifth week of Lent.

We are nearly at the end of Lent and soon we will be celebrating Holy Week and Easter.

This is the time to continue to reflect on how we live our lives 

and how we can be better followers of Jesus.

We especially think about how easy it is to judge others

and how slow we are to admit that we are wrong and to forgive them.

Lenten Prayer

Loving and faithful God,

You call us to be understanding and forgiving.

Help us to be welcoming, accepting and friendly to all those we meet.

May we try to walk in another’s footsteps,

be slow to judge others and be quick to offer comfort, support and kindness.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.

 Amen.

Holy Week Mass Helpers

Easter is approaching and it is our tradition at St Justin’s to join with the wider community to celebrate these important events in the Church Calendar.

Our first event is Palm Sunday and we are looking for children to walk into the church holding the Palms. Palm Sunday is Sunday 13th Apriland the Mass time is 10:00am. All students from Prep to Year 3 are invited to participate in this wonderful community event.

The next event is the ‘Stations of the Cross’ held in the school grounds on Good Friday 18th April at 10am. We are looking for students in Years 4, 5 and 6 to do a reading at each of the stations.

If you are able to attend either event, please be in the church foyer 15 minutes prior to the commencement of Mass. Please email Mrs Cedro by Thursday 3rd April.
