Important Information for Year 12 Students and Parents/Carers - UAC Applications Open 2 April

The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will open its application portal on Tuesday 2 April 2025 for Year 12 students applying for university in 2026.

To help students apply smoothly, here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

Steps to Apply via UAC:

  1. Register your details

    • Use a personal email (not your school one). This should be the same email address you have registered with NESA Students Online.

    • Create a password and validate your registration through the email UAC sends you.

  2. Log in and start your application

    • Enter your citizenship details.

    • Select that you're completing Year 12 in 2025.

  3. Enter your Student Number and UAC PIN

    • Your UAC PIN will be emailed to the address you registered with NESA on 2 April.

  4. Check and confirm your personal details

    • Your full legal name (must match your official ID).

    • Your personal email address.

    • Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) (needed to enrol in courses and access HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP).

  5. Enter details of your previous and current studies.

  6. Choose up to five course preferences

    • You can change your preferences later, up until offer round deadlines. Note that some courses may not be available to select at this stage.

    • You can change your preferences at any time and as many times as you like.

  7. Accept the applicant declaration.

  8. Pay the application fee

    • Pay via credit card, PayPal, or BPAY. The fee is $80.

    • Your application is not complete until the fee is paid.

Students who live in low socio-economic areas may be eligible to receive equity adjustment points through UAC to help improve their selection rank for university entry.

  • UAC will notify eligible students by email once applications are open.

    • If your child receives this email, please ask them to forward it to me.

    • This eligibility may also unlock additional benefits at other universities.
