Year 8 Assessment Reminder

As we enter Week 9, Year 8 students are approaching the final stages of their assessments, with key tasks and deadlines looming. Parents can support their child by accessing the Year 8 Assessment Planner, which provides an overview of upcoming assessments.

Encouraging students to stay on top of their deadlines and plan their study time can help them feel more prepared. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Year 8 Food Technology Spotlight

Last week, I had the pleasure of seeing our Year 8 Food Technology students put their skills to the test in their practical assessment, creating salad jars. As both their Head of Year and classroom teacher, I was incredibly proud of the effort and creativity they brought to the task. Their attention to detail, presentation, and ability to follow the design process was impressive, and it was fantastic to see their final products come together. Well done to all students for their hard work and enthusiasm!

With this term’s class wrapping up, I look forward to welcoming a new group of Year 8 students next term and seeing their skills develop in the kitchen.
