Weekend Duty
Can all Year 12s please check the weekend duty roster in the Farm workshop. If you wish to complete your weekend duty early, please put your name next to a suitable date on the sheet on the whiteboard (near the weekend roster). Thank you.
Certificate II in Agriculture
It is great to see the Year 12s moving ahead and being proactive towards achieving their Cert II in Ag! Remember to stick to the groups you have been rostered to so that you can finish all the competencies required in that area. Complete all the practical activities when they are being undertaken and fill in the paperwork and submit it to your Technical Officer (TO) the same day. This will prevent you from forgetting to hand it in or losing it. There is a number of you on track to finish your Cert II in Term 2!
Year 11s need to be working on their knowledge questions in Vocational Education and Training (VET) theory and learning as much as they can on their Farm roster so that assessments can begin in the coming few terms. Those who think they would like to undertake Certificate III in Agriculture next year, aim at getting most of your Cert II completed this year. It is possible!
Certificate III in Agriculture and Pork Production
Cert III students will be rostered to groups that will allow them to finish their Cert II in Ag at the beginning of Term 2. Once Cert II is complete, you will then be rostered to the areas that you need to concentrate on to obtain your Cert III. There is no Cert III without a Cert II first.
School holidays
We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday period, and we want to see you all back happy and enthusiastic next term. A reminder to Cert III students, to log any hours that you may undertake on farms associated with your chosen path (livestock, cropping, pork).
Drive safely, enjoy some time with family and friends, and recharge for the new term.
