Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

The second week of Lent is upon us. The readings this week call us to transform our lives through trusting in our God. I pray that we all find the something in our lives that will transform us to be better people.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who will be taking our 5/6 students to Camp this year. The information night was successful.  An operoo will be sent to families to formally accept their children going to camp.

On Saturday, our lovely Miss O'Donnell will be married. We wish Hannah and Nick a beautiful day and a long and loving marriage.  When Miss O'Donnell returns she will be called Mrs. Ward. Congratulations Hannah and Nick.

Monday 26th February at 9.30am is our first OPEN MORNING for prospective 2025 Foundation enrolments. These tours are aimed at new parents wanting to join our school community for the 2025 year. Please let anyone you know who may be considering our school for their child/ren to ring the office for further details. We have already had strong expression of interest for our upcoming tours. It is great to know that so many local families want to join our community.

PLAY  leaders training for the 5/6 group will happen on Tuesday. This leadership training program for the children is a wonderful experience and engages them in leading playtime activities with the younger children.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

A reminder that we will hold our Parent-Teacher meetings for Years 1-6 on the afternoons of Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th February between 3.40 and 6pm. Parents can meet with your child's class teacher on-site as we feel it is important that relationships are established face to face. You can book your 10 minute timeslot between 3.40-6.00pm at https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the event code z8bh8. The aim of these meetings is for you to share as much information about your child with the teacher, look at some potential goals and to discuss how your child has settled into their 2024 class.

Other dates to be aware of in the next month or so are:-

House Cross Country Friday 1st March

School Advisory Committee and AGM- Wednesday 6th March 6.30pm

Yr 5-6 Camp to Portsea Wednesday 13th March-Friday 15th March

Rod sends his best wishes to the community.

God bless

Sally Thomas

Acting Principal
