Art

Students in Grades 1 - 6 have been working hard on completing their drawing projects this week.

Take a look at some of the beautiful drawings made by the Grade 1/2 students. These whacky cityscape drawings were inspired by the artist James Rizzi.

The Grade 3/4 students used soft pastels and and PVA glue to mimic the look of stained glass windows on black paper.

The Grade 5/6 students completed their colourful Romero Britto inspired drawings. Each drawing includes a chosen symbol that represents something that tells a story about them.

The Preps have been learning about how we can follow our Gleams in Art class by taking care of materials and begin respectful to each other. Last week, the Preps worked on their paper folding and cutting techniques to make a paper monster. This week, they made Paper Rainbow Suns, learning how to curl paper and becoming familiar with the colour wheel.
