I hope that you all were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful warm weather over the long weekend. I think that it came at the right time for everyone!
Welcome to Catholic Education Week. The theme for Catholic Education week this year is In the Light of Christ. This theme along with our school theme for 2024, Keep Shining, the World Needs Your Light is focused on our Vianney's value of Kindness and to lead by example Just as Jesus did. Just like we asked the children, how are you as parents going to show kindness towards others?
I would like to draw your attention to the SJV Parent night which is taking place next Friday, the 22nd of March. All parents are invited to attend Barefoot bowling at the Mordialloc Bowls Club. It begins at 6.30pm and concludes at 9.30pm. There are special prizes on offer for new parents so please come along. The cost is $20 per person (payment can be made at the school office) which includes Pizzas (Drinks are at bar prices). So make sure you come along, meet new parents from the SJV community and have loads of fun.
Please make sure that you read the following:
Next Tuesday the 19th of March the PFA will meet in the staffroom at 7.30pm (New timeslot).
We would like to thank the many members of the 2024 PFA for joining us and hope they enjoy the experience of being a part of this wonderful journey.
I would like to congratulate the following parents for volunteering their time to take on specific roles within the PFA and the Fete Committee:
If anyone else would also like to join the PFA and were unable to attend the last meeting, feel free to come next Tuesday night at 7.30pm.
We still require a vice or co president to support Jess Viviani so if you are interested in this role, please contact either myself in the office or Jess.
Our Requests for School Tours are continuing with many booking times to come and visit our wonderful school! Enrolments for Prep 2025 are now open and we encourage all families to submit their applications as soon as possible. If you have a child or you know someone wanting to tour schools for their child, please encourage them to book a school tour by contacting Nicole in our front office or scanning the QR code and booking online. If you are not able to make these tours please note that you are also welcome to call to make a time that does work for you.
Applications are due Monday 6th of May
Our new portal is now live and we are ready for all parents to log on, set up passwords and update student details.
We will no longer be using Operoo for notifications, permission forms and student medical information. This new portal that we already use for reports and student attendance will now be our source of truth for student details. This will produce First aid notifications that will be emailed to you if your child has required attention during the day. Another advantage of this portal is that it will notify both parents with any information that we publish. We will eventually also use this for absentee forms and Teacher/ Parents interviews. We will keep you updated as we start using new components of the portal.
All parents need to use the following link to log on.
https://portal.nforma.com.au/login
Please note when you log on you have to use the email registered to the school for school reports (new parents- it will be the one you registered on your enrolment form) you then need to click forgot password and then create a new password. You will then be all setup.
If you have issues please contact Nicole in the office
If you would like to order some Hot Cross buns, please do so by Friday the 22nd of April. The buns will be delivered to school on Thursday the 28th of March. Please see the flyer for further details.
Please support our Easter Egg drive. We are in the process of creating baskets full of wonderful prizes which will drawn in our raffle on the last day of term. We are seeking donations of eggs, chocolate, bunnies and chicks etc. Please send any of the donations to your child's classroom.
Keep Shining. The World Needs Your Light!!
