Professional Development Day - Monday 19th February

On Monday our school professional development day focused on student learning in Mathematics. The day started with staff further exploring the new Victorian Mathematics Curriculum, unpacking what this looks like for each level and the learning progressions across the school. Later in the day, we looked at the importance of problem solving, with each level planning learning opportunities for students to apply problem solving and reasoning skills. We finished the day looking at student goal setting. Over the next few weeks all our students will have learning goals set up in Mathematics, providing them with greater opportunity to track their own learning and be their own teacher.
