From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
On Monday our staff worked together to learn more about the new Mathematics curriculum, creating overviews and investigating opportunities for problem solving activities to support the learning for our students. We value the time when we are able to work together as a staff to extend our knowledge and share expertise and learning.
SRC Representatives
Our Year 1-5 students have had the opportunity to apply to be a member of our Student Representative Council (SRC). Those who were successful will be presented with their badges at our Assembly this week. Together with our Year 6 leaders, the SRC will work on dates and projects in our community. Stay tuned to hear more about their ideas.
Parent/ Grandparents Learning Army
There are many opportunities for parents and even interested grandparents to help out in classrooms to support learning. Volunteers must have a current WWCC and this must be presented to the school. If you haven’t got a WWCC you can apply now and still attend the meeting. We will hold an Induction session for interested parents which is a pre requisite to becoming part of our Parent Learning Army. The session will be held on Tuesday 27th February at 2:30pm. All welcome.
Garden
Our Garden will again be open this Friday after school. Everyone is welcome to pop in and the Garden Group are always happy for new members to join them. We are very grateful to the parents who are a part of this group for the work they do to ensure our community has a thriving garden space that is enjoyed by all.
Assembly
This week our Year 3 /4 students will host our assembly which will include the badge presentation for our Year 1-5 SRC representatives. We look forward to seeing families at 3:00pm this Friday.
