New Parents Dinner

This year, our New Parents Dinner is taking place on Thursday 29th February, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. We would be grateful if you would join us for canapes in the Primary Gymnasium (G-Block) on South Campus.

A few key members of our community will briefly share about different aspects of life at

Bayside, including College Principal, Mr Andrew Manning. We find this helps families to develop a good understanding of how we partner with you as parents/carers in the education of your children, as well as putting faces to names of other members of staff.

Please RSVP your attendance via https://www.trybooking.com/CPAQL by Monday 26th February

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our Primary Parent/Teacher conferences and Secondary Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences will take place on Tuesday 5th March and Wednesday 6th March. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up and share our partnership to discuss the progress and plans for best supporting your children's education, both from school and from home. The portal is open and information has been sent, regarding how to use our online booking system, PTO, to make a time to meet with your children's teachers.

Tuesday 5th March will be a regular school day with on-campus (in person) appointments after school from 3:40 pm to 7 pm. Buses will run as normal on this day. Wednesday 6th March appointments will be online through Microsoft Teams from 9am to 7pm. This will be a student-free day. Camp Australia will provide care for those already registered with the program.

Whole School Assembly

Families are invited to attend our next Whole School Assembly on Tuesday 12th March in K-Block on South Campus at 9:00am.

New Parents Induction

Welcome to Bayside Christian College. It is very exciting to have you join the Bayside family and we want your family’s commencement at the College to be as smooth as possible. To assist you in your transition, new parents participate in the New Parent Induction Program.

Consisting of two evening sessions in Semester One, the induction program provides an opportunity for new parents to meet together, ask questions and gain a deeper insight into the working of the College. Parents will learn how we go about educating your children and the fundamental values around who we are and what we do.

The first of two sessions, session one picks up from some of the conversations you may have had with staff across your enrolment journey into the College. This session provides a deeper introduction to the College exploring who we are as a learning community. We discuss what Christian Education involves, how it works and the stories we are telling. Our hope is that you will leave this session better equipped to partner with staff on your child’s education journey.

New parents are asked to attend both Session One and Session Two in their first year at the College. If you are unable to attend the dates below, the program will be run again later in the year in Semester Two.
