STEM

Learning for this Term

The Grade prep students have been exploring biology. They have begun focusing on animals and their young. This week students have been using craft materials such as pom poms, icy pole sticks and pipe cleaners to create a baby animal.

The Grade 1 and 2 students will be planting seedlings. During this activity we will be exploring the growth of plants. To assist with this activity it would be fantastic if your child could please bring in a plastic bottle. A milk carton, soft drink bottle, juice bottle or carton would all be okay. Please make sure the container is named with your child’s name and grade.

Nude Food Fridays

On Friday Miss Middlin will be running a Nude Food competition. This competition is aiming to promote sustainability across the school. Nude Food is simply food that is not wrapped in foil, plastic or commercial packaging.

On Friday selected students will be allocated a time to survey classes to see how many have brought Nude Food to school. The class with the most students with the most Nude Food will receive the Nude Food Medal for the week. The Nude Food Competition will start this Friday so make sure you pack Nude Food.
