By the end of our Ready to Learn programme, our 3/4 students had unpacked what student voice and student agency might look like in their grade and established their very own classroom mantra and mission statement that best reflect the kind of grade they want. Our students also participated in Junior School Council election process to elect their grade's representative. Here are the JSCs of 2024 for the 3/4 Area.

Meanwhile, in Writing, our students have been learning how to write persuasive texts. They have learnt about the structure of a persuasive text (i.e. statement of opinion, arguments 1 to 3 including reasons, summary or conclusion), high modality words (e.g. definitely, must, I have no doubt, etc) and persuasive devices such as rule of 3, rhetorical questions, emotive language and repetition. Our students produced advertisements for a variety of products, wrote short newspaper articles and other types of persuasive texts using the techniques they learnt in class.
