Grade 2 Area

This week in Maths, we have been exploring place value. We have been using dice, cards and base 10 materials to help us learn. In this activity, we used random playing cards to make as many numbers as we could and then put them in order from smallest to largest. We had to pay close attention to each value to make sure we had them in the correct order. 

 In our Discovery Learning, we have been looking at values, community and culture. We have had lots of discussions around who we are and what things shape us as people. In this activity we were designing a flag that represented our culture. Some of us drew our countries flag, others designed a new flag filled with different things that represented us.
