Country Fair

The Kinross Wolaroi School Country Fair was a resounding success, drawing in a large crowd of attendees from both near and far. With its vibrant atmosphere and engaging activities, the fair left a lasting impression on all who attended. The overwhelming support from the community further underscored the fair's remarkable success. Behind its accomplishment lay the diligent planning and devoted efforts of the organising team, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

Junior School Leadership Induction

It has been marvellous to mark the appointment of our new Year 6 leaders for 2024 and our Semester 1 SRC leaders over the past fortnight. These ceremonies hold significant importance as they offer a platform to recognise and commend students as they undertake leadership roles and shoulder associated responsibilities. Student leadership programs are an integral part of school life. In our Junior School, our primary objective is to nurture the leadership potential of our students by offering structured and mentored opportunities for them to cultivate and hone their leadership skills.

In their roles as leaders within the Junior School, our students have the responsibility of collaboratively constructing a safe and inclusive environment where every peer feels valued, supported, and motivated. They are the figures our younger students admire, and their conduct profoundly influences attitudes towards leadership and responsibility.

As part of their leadership development our Year 6 badged leaders attended a HICES Leadership Day at St Paul’s Grammar School in Cranebrook where they had the opportunity to create inter-school friendships with other Year 6 leaders from schools across Sydney and surrounding areas. This event was facilitated by Burn Bright Australia and gave students an opportunity to unpack what good leadership traits are. Thank you to Ms Amanda Dodson – Assistant Head of Junior School for attending this important day with our leaders. Please read Around the Junior School to learn more about this fun day.

Junior School Icebreaker Gathering

To commence the school year, a delightful gathering took place at the Greenhouse, where families and staff came together to celebrate the new school year. Such gatherings afford marvellous opportunities for families to connect and form friendships with each other as they journey through the school years together. We extend our gratitude to our dedicated Engagement team and the P&F Association for their efforts in orchestrating this event that provided an important occasion for us to gather as a Junior School community.
