I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our school community who contributed to the success of the Kinross Wolaroi School Country Fair last week. After a five-year hiatus, the fair's triumphant return was a testament to the dedication and hard work of numerous staff, students, and parents. Your unwavering support, tireless efforts, and collaborative spirit were instrumental in making the event an overwhelming success. It's inspiring to witness such unity and passion within our community. Thank you for your invaluable contributions, which not only enriched the fair but also strengthened our school community bonds.
Last Thursday the Senior School enjoyed Wellbeing Day, a full day devoted to exploring and developing skills in responsible decision-making, positive peer relationships, cyber security, self-awareness, self-management, and conflict resolution. It was a huge day of workshops and activities that saw all year groups fully engaged in a broad range of practical activities and discussions. I take this opportunity to acknowledge our students for their outstanding conduct and participation, and our wonderful staff who supported groups and ran workshops on the day.
Here are some links to additional information on our guests who presented on the day:

This week our Year 10 cohort had the pleasure of attending the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) workshop.
RYDA is a collaborative effort between Rotary clubs, local Police, and corporate sponsors. It is a non-profit initiative that aims to reduce the number of road accidents involving young drivers. According to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, young drivers aged between 17 and 25 are over-represented in road fatalities and serious injuries.
RYDA covers a wide range of topics related to road safety, including the importance of seatbelts, the dangers of speeding, the impact of drugs and alcohol on driving ability, and the consequences of distracted driving. The workshop uses a combination of interactive presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises to engage students and promote active learning.
NAPLAN exams will be conducted next week, from Wednesday 13 March – Monday 18 March.
