The P&F has been a proud supporter and contributor to the Kinross Wolaroi School Country Fair, which has been the Association's major project for 2024.
Enormous thanks must go to our entire Committee, especially our Year Group Representatives and all of our year group volunteers, for the significant and generous effort they made on the day.
Thanks must also go to the huge number of people who made fabulous donations to our raffle and stalls. Whether you donated accommodation, wine, cakes, plants, jams ... the list goes on ... we can't thank you enough for your generosity! The Fair featured 16 stalls that were created and staffed entirely by our parents. What an outstanding effort!
To all of those families who turned up on the day and spent generously ... thank you! By buying your child a rides pass or giving them money for the activities; by purchasing morning tea, lunch, cakes or any of our other goodies you've been incredibly important to the success of this event.
As the School's Engagement and Finance offices work hard this week to draw together all of the costs and takings for the Fair, we wait in anticipation to hear what the final amount of funds raised for the renovation of Wolaroi Mansion will be. No matter the final figure, the huge benefit in terms of community building can be seen by all of us as we worked together and built friendships and new connections from the experience. It is also a joy and a matter of pride for all of us, to invite our wider community to visit our beautiful school. This goes to the whole purpose of our P&F.
The P&F would like to thank all of the parents, carers, staff and students who volunteered to make it such a wonderful experience for the thousands of visitors who came along.
I will have more details to report on the Fair in the next newsletter.
