Student Leadership

Attitudes to School Survey (ATOSS)
Students in Years 4–9 have almost completed the annual Attitudes to School Survey (ATOSS). Thank you to all students for their thoughtful participation. The survey provides valuable feedback about student wellbeing, engagement and learning experiences, helping us better understand student perspectives and identify areas for future improvement across the school.
Year 6 Elective Hour
This term, our Year 6 students have begun participating in Elective Hour. Students selected an area of interest and are working towards a specific goal within their chosen group. Elective options include Winter Sports, Art, Science, Mandarin, Spanish, Writing Extension, Coding and Tournament of the Minds.
The program provides students with opportunities to further develop their skills, pursue personal interests and collaborate with peers who share similar passions. We look forward to seeing the projects and achievements that emerge from these exciting learning opportunities throughout the year.
Art Elective – Community Assistance Requested
As part of their Elective Hour project, our Art group is working to beautify our student bathrooms through the creation of colourful murals. The aim of this project is to create welcoming spaces that encourage students to feel comfortable while also promoting respect and pride in our school environment.
To support this initiative, we are seeking paint donations and assistance from members of our school community. If you are able to help, please contact Ms Rachael Fankhauser via email at
Rachael.Fankhauser@education.vic.gov.au.
First Aid Leadership Program
Our First Aid Leadership team has recently welcomed a new rotation of students who are working alongside Nurse Alison. Each Thursday afternoon, students participate in practical training sessions designed to develop their understanding of basic first aid and student wellbeing.
Throughout the program, students are learning important skills such as applying bandages, responding to minor injuries and caring for head injuries. Students are also rostered on during break times to assist in the sick bay and monitor designated areas of the yard, helping to support students with minor injuries and ensuring they receive appropriate care.
These hands-on experiences help students build confidence, responsibility and valuable leadership skills while making a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of our school community.
House Point Tally Update
The competition between our four houses remains extremely close as students continue earning points by demonstrating our school values, showing positive behaviour and actively contributing to school life. We look forward to seeing which house can maintain their momentum as we move towards the end of the term.
