Well done to all the students who participated in their class spelling bees. We had a total of 11 finalists from our classes head into the Stage Final. Congratulations to Salma for being the 2026 Stage 2 Spelling Bee Champion. There was an intense battle for 2nd place between Yasmina and Hanzalah, with Yasmina ultimately being named runner-up and Hanzalah coming in 3rd.
We look forward to seeing how Salma goes in the next round!

As part of students' learning in Science in Technology this term, Stage 2 students experienced an engaging incursion exploring the fascinating world of solids, liquids, and gases. Through hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations, students investigated how materials change states and discovered the properties that make each one unique. This incursion sparked curiosity, deepened scientific understanding, and linked directly to what students have learnt in class.
Keep an eye out on our school's Facebook and Instagram pages for a video highlighting some of the action!

National Simultaneous Storytime was a fun-filled day, where students enjoyed a range of fun activities. Year 4 have been busy writing and presenting speeches about Ned Kelly, as well as collecting data about what is in our lunchboxes, and learning how to display the data in a graph. Both grades have started reading new books: Year 3 are reading 'Piano Fingers' by Caroline Magerl and 'Sonam and the Silence' by Ed Le Brocq. Year 4 are reading 'Fire' by Jackie French and 'Bindi' by Kirli Saunders. The countdown is on to school holidays, but before the end of the term, we are looking forward to two Stage 2 Sport Days, as well as Buzz Day!
