Principal's Message

Mr Ben Morgan | Principal

Dear Families,

With staffing now finalised I am able to share some information regarding specialist lessons in 2025. In our Student Well-being specialist lessons we will be implementing a new program - The Resilience Project - which focuses on Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy. The mission of The Resilience Project is to teach positive mental health strategies to inspire happiness and change lives. Our aim is to foster resilience in our students for when they meet challenges. They say we cannot prepare the road for our children, so let’s prepare our children for the road.

It has been a privilege to lead John Paul II Catholic School since May. I have enjoyed getting to know the students, staff and families and look forward to continuing to support the growth of the school over the coming years.

In the past 6 months I have come to the realisation that John Paul II is a truly special place.

I would like to share a few observations from this year.

  • Our students are caring and eager to learn and connect.  They run up to us every morning, excited to say ‘hello’ or tell us about their latest news.
  • The families are welcoming, they care deeply about their children, they are invested in their child’s education and the partnership with the school.
  • The staff are professional, they have fun, and they are incredibly committed. They are fierce advocates for our students, who will question our practices, share research and review data frequently.

We are incredibly lucky to be a part of this community.

I would like to wish you all the best for the Christmas break. I look forward to seeing you all back at school on Friday February 7th, 2025.
