 Dear Parents and Carers,

N-Forma Reports Emailed to Parents Monday

As communicated in the previous newsletter, we will be using the N-Forma App to provide parents with access to Academic Reports.  It seems we have been a bit ambitious, aiming to have this in place by the end of the year.  For the last time, these reports will be emailed to you by your child's classroom teacher on Monday, 16 December after school.  In future, the reports will made available to you in PDF format via the N-Forma app which you will be able to download from the App Store or Google Play.

Year Six Graduation

We would like to congratulate our Year Six students who celebrated their Graduation on Wednesday night at the Warburton Golf Club.  It was a fantastic night for the graduating students and their families.

 

They had lots of fun both indoors and outside

Final Assembly

Our final Whole School Assembly was held on Wednesday. We had a special visit from our state and federal members, Cindy McLeish and Aaron Violi.  They presented certificates to the winners of the Christmas Card Competitions.

The classes all performed their Bush Dances which they learned in Performing Arts with Miss Lisa Bourke.

Year Six Mystery

Today I took our Year Six Students and their teachers on a Mystery Tour to Fun Fields in Whittlesea.  This tradition, which I introduced in 2021, is an opportunity for me to thank the Year Six Students and their teachers for the year we have had together.

The children and their teachers enjoyed toboggan rides, water slides, the wave pool and lots of rides.  We were blessed with superb weather and I thank parents for remembering to send sunscreen and sunsmart clothes with their children.  

 

Extreme Heat Monday

As you will read in the Student Wellbeing section, we are celebrating our excellent student behaviour with our PBL Reward on Monday.  This coincides with a day of Extreme Heat. To mitigate the risk of heat stress on the children, we have done the following: 

  1. scheduled the activity indoors (SPA Centre)
  2. moved the activity from the afternoon to the morning
  3. purchased water bottles for children who forget to bring one to school
  4. purchased Zooper Doopers to keep the children cool
  5. limited it to a one hour maximum duration
  6. planned for children to be in their air-conditioned classrooms at recess and lunch if the temperature exceeds 34 degrees

We are really hopeful that student attendance will be very high on the day as a lot of time, effort (and money) has gone into the planning of the day.  The children will be comfortable in their airconditioned classrooms and we will ensure they stay well hydrated.
