Namaste, (greetings) this is my first contribution to our Newsletter since retuning from hiking to Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal. It really was an amazing hike! Highlights for me were the Nepalese people, their culture and the astonishing panoramic views around every corner. The Himalayas sure is an incredible place to visit. I have so much respect for Nepalese Sherpa guides and carriers, who have the capacity to carry heavy loads and possess incredible fitness levels at high altitude and freezing conditions.

With Term 4 drawing to a close, can you believe that 2024 school year is almost finished! It has been a great end to 2024, with many milestone activities taking place like the Grade 5 and 6 end of year activities, Grade 6 Graduation, Grade 6 Graduation Lunch, 2025 Prep Meet the Teacher and Grade 1 to 6 Meet the Teacher next week. Well done to all of our staff, students and families for all of your effort, hard work and support this year, it is much appreciated.

Our 2024 student leaders have done a great job this year and have shown a high degree of leadership throughout the year. Your leadership and example have been to a very high level and it has been very much appreciated. We wish all our Grade 6 students the best as they move on to secondary college and would love to hear from them in years to come about how they are going and what they are doing.

To our school community, we wish everyone a very restful and enjoyable Christmas and New Year.

Thanks and have a great break!
