House Chess

The annual House Chess competition for the Senior School took place this week.  Congratulations to students who stepped up to represent their House.  There were some extremely interesting games that kept the audience engaged.  Huge thanks to Mitchell Clode (IT Support) and the Library Committee members of Danile Su, Harry McDonald, Bailey Bottrall, Perry Maas-Geesteranus and Hiru Henakaralalage for setting up the stage and screen each day and allowing the audience to watch all four games at once on the big screen of the Simons Auditorium. The winning House will be announced at Assembly next week. Results of the rounds are below.

We have the opportunity to take students to the Second Chess Victoria Zonal Tournament in Warrnambool next Wednesday 8 May, starting at 9.30am and concluding at 2.30 pm.  Students play seven games with a time controller of 15 minutes for each player. Please see Mrs Dempsey if you are interested in attending this tournament.  Entries and travel details need to be organised by Monday 6 May.
