Trials for the representative teams are underway. The intermediate (Year 9/10) and the senior teams have held their tryouts, and the junior trials (Year 7/8) are being held next Tuesday lunch at the Sports Centre. Students need to be ready to play a game promptly at the start of lunch.
Selection on these teams is position and skills-based, and a limited number of people are selected. Once selections are amde, trainings are compulsory.
Many students are now playing with various clubs throughout the district, which is great to see for their development and involvement.
The competition date has been confirmed for 31 July at Pedrina Park. Supporters are welcome on the day. If anyone is a badged umpire and prepared to help out on the day, could you please let me know ASAP at jogle@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au

Division 1 - Men
Last weekend, the Open Men’s team recorded a second sound result with a 6-1 win over Jakobytes.
Goal scorers were Isaac Shaw (2), Henry Russell, Jack Jarvis, Harry Brown and Harry Dorahy.
Most pleasing were the more connected defence and the boys’ willingness to work together. At times we played some excellent hockey and the challenge is to keep building on the good moments as we seek to discover how good a team we can be

Division 1 – Womens
College played a tough game against Coleraine Black, playing an intense game with some players shining through. Sophie Merrin weaved her magic down the field alongside her trusty inner, Bels Little. It was nil all until the third quarter when Lily Cush scored the winning goal. Overall, the team played very well and look to be a strong team this season.

The Clay Target Shooters had their first event of the year at the annual Colac Gun Club school's shooting event. This marks the first event of the season in our region, with most schools yet to start regular training. Despite the lack of training and challenging conditions—windy and cold—there were some impressive results among the College Shooters.
Shooting Captain Lachy Pringle secured the High Gun for the day with an excellent score of 19/20 (19 clays hit out of a possible 20), finishing two clays ahead of the next best score. It was an exciting conclusion to Annabel Funcke's day as she won her first shoot-off, claiming first place in the junior girls division.
The College was also announced as the top school of the day, thanks to significant contributions from the following students: Lachy Pringle (19/20), Harry Brown (17/20), Lachy Veale (14/20), Jordan Dwyer (13/20), Libby Diprose (13/20), and Ben Vallance (13/20).
Special thanks go to the parents who spent the day with us, with extra gratitude to Mark Diprose for ensuring our safe travel to and from the event.
The Hamilton Clay Target Club has announced that our training sessions can begin mid Term Two, though a specific start date is still to be determined. Any parents interested in being involved in our training sessions are encouraged to contact me at: hburmeister@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au.
