The cold weather has hit, and what better way to embrace it than by making some household comfort food? Students enjoyed making pizzas from scratch and learning all about our school pizza oven. Some of the more popular pizzas were the 'Potato and Rosemary', "Traditional Margarita' and of course 'Pizza of the Imagination' was amazing too! Students used potatoes, rosemary, mixed herbs, tomatoes, zucchini, capsicum and kale from our garden to create these beauties.
Following our pizza menu has been fettucini pasta. We used flour and egg t9o make ther pasta and then hand rolled it with a pasta machine. So much fun!!
Again, we have been resourceful by using frozen tomatoes for the pasta sauce and then used pumpkin to maike some delicious biscuits too! Just so the parents kniw, everyone ate the pumpkin biscuits!! We look forward to cooking with more pumpkin next week!
If you would like to volunteer in the Kitchen & Garden program, please send an email to your class teacher who will then let us know your availability. Parents will be assigned to work alongside their child in either the kitchen or garden unless otherwise requested.

AUTUMN TIME
My favourite season of the year. Crisp mornings and sunny afternoons. The Autumn colours of our changing decidious trees brighten our school grounds.
In our garden classes we have been going on treasure hunts for decidious and evergreen leaves.
Autumn is a very busy time in the garden. We have been planting up new garden beds of spinach and broccoli before it gets cooler.
We have also picked a lot of olives that will be ¨cured" for some weeks. Basically they are soaked in salted water until the bitterness is leached out.
Our preps of been amazing in the garden and worked hard to move soil to our garden beds in readiness for Autumn planting.
Great weeks in our Autumn garden.
Happy Gardening
