Year 8

The Year 8 scientists have started their unit on Microscopes & Cells. So, we have been spending time investigating how the microscope works and what microscopic organisms look like close up. As part of our hands on approach to introducing this topic students were asked to bring in water samples. Thank you, Oakley and Sophie, for bringing in Dam, Pond and Richardson River samples for all students to view. We found lots of little critters and heaps of algae.

Year 7

The Year 7 scientists have successfully gained their Bunsen Burner license. They had to complete a written and competency test. Most students passed on their first attempt. Students must gain 100% in the competency part to pass. Well done Year 7s. Now to start doing some Bunsen Burner experiments!
