Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

PENTECOST

This morning we celebrated the beginning of Pentecost at a Liturgy lead by Year 4. The day of Pentecost is the celebration of God's gift of the Holy Spirit. It was this time that the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples giving them the power to spread God's faith. We can continue to share this gift by showing humanity and compassion to others and following our faith. 

Lord, give us the ability to speak not in languages of hate or greed, 

complacency or discontent, but in love and peace, mercy and kindness; 

in generosity and benevolence, in humility and patience, 

and in truthful words of encouragement.

Today we came together at morning tea as a school community to celebrate Pentecost with cake.

FAMILY PARISH MASS

It was so lovely to see so many students and families at our Family Parish Mass on Saturday night. It is a special time when we all gather together in prayer. Thankyou to the students who participated in the Liturgy and for ending the Mass with our beautiful song "Firm in Faith".

SCS EISTEDDFOD

Congratulations to all of our Showgroup students who competed in the Sydney Catholic Schools Dance Eisteddfod last Thursday and Friday. Their performances were outstanding and they thoroughly enjoyed being on stage. Thank you to our amazing dance teacher Miss Hinds for teaching these students and Miss Siapkas for all the behind the scenes work to make this a successful and rewarding event for these students. A HUGE congratulations to our Senior Girls Showgroup who were placed 2nd in the Hip Hop Division. Congratulations to our Boys Showgroup for demonstrating such an enthusiastic stage presence and to our Junior Girls for receving the Encouragement Award.

HOLIDAY VACATION CARE

We are excited to let the community know that Camp Australia are now offering Vacation Care for the upcoming July school holidays. Please see attached flyer on Camp Australia page in this Newsletter for further details.
