As we move into Term 2, the Well Being team are continuing to work, supporting students with their health and wellbeing at school. In addition to the individual support provided to students we are working this term on the following group programs and initiatives:
Coping skills group for Year 7 and 8 students.
This group will be run again in Term 3 so interested families can contact Paula Hall on manzellap@vermontsc.vic.edu.au for more information
Secret Agent Society for Junior students with a diagnosis of ASD supporting them to develop skills and confidence in social interactions and emotion regulation.
Tuning into Teens – parent support group that we aim to be running in Term 3.
Brainstorm Productions “Stix and Stones” – for Year 7 and 9 students has been booked, an interactive and entertaining production exploring themes of friendship, bullying and cybersafety.
Elephant Education have also been booked to come out to VSC and run entertaining, information sessions with students across multiple year levels, with the aim of supporting students to develop healthy relationships with each other enhancing their experience here at school.
Alex Tiver will be running an Upstander one day workshop with students across multiple year levels, supporting students to explore strategies and build confidence around being an upstander.
