Vermont Secondary College

It has been a fantastic start to Term 2 in Science.

Year 7 students have been investigating forces whilst changing the surface.

Year 8 students are studying cells and microscopes. They have been seeing cells at a microscopic level and then creating their own 3D cells to model the organelles. (Pictures attached of Minecraft cells and a couple of the 3D models).

 

 

Year 9 students have been working on the immune system and the science behind vaccinations. This week classes are now moving on to Chemistry and learning about the Atomic Theory.

Year 12 chemistry students are working on electrolytic cells and using them to plate electrodes. (The 3 photos added photos).

 

This week 39 students from 7-10 took part in the Big Australian Science Competition, congratulations to these students on taking part in this competition, we look forward to celebrating your results!!
