PREP

FROM THE CLASSROOM

This week, the Prep students explored their connection to the land and revisited their understanding of what makes a place special. Together, they created a Prep Garden to represent a special place in our school.

In Mathematics we began exploring Australian money by creating shopping lists and using coins to buy and pay for items in our classroom shop. This hands-on activity helped students develop their understanding of coins, prices, and everyday money skills.

The Prep students have also enjoyed practicing reading, writing and saying the ending sounds /ll/, /ss/, and /ff/ while engaging in Little Learners lessons. Students were also introduced to the new Heart Words oh, so, no, go, say, cake, day, play learning to recognise and read and write these high frequency words.
