NAIDOC Week

This week, our class proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week by taking part in activities that encouraged us to learn about and reflect on the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and achievements.
Students explored the theme of identity by creating thoughtful and creative drawings that represented who they are, celebrating the qualities, interests and people that make each of us unique. It was wonderful to see students express themselves through art while recognising the importance of identity and belonging.
We also enjoyed working together to create and perform dances using hand gestures, clapping and song. These activities encouraged students to communicate through movement, rhythm and teamwork while appreciating the significance of storytelling and cultural expression.
Our NAIDOC Week celebrations provided meaningful opportunities for students to reflect, create and learn together. We are proud of the respect, enthusiasm and creativity they demonstrated throughout the week.
