Around the School

Our students have been busy this week preparing for the many ways they can demonstrate their learning tomorrow during our 'Celebration of Learning' time.
F/1 CPAC Excursion:
Yesterday F/1G and F/1I went on an excursion to Ballarat's Creative Play and Art Centre (CPAC). On our bus ride there, we were very excited and it did not disappoint! Students loved exploring a range of rooms including sensory tiles, light displays, ball pits, air displays and disco rooms. What a wonderful way to end our Art unit this term and see 'art in action' through a play-based lens. A big thank you to the parent helpers, teachers and LSOs who attended with us.
We hope you enjoy a few photos from our time there.
Calling All Scientists and Geologists!
As part of our exciting Earth and Space Sciences learning this term, students across the school will be investigating rocks, minerals, soils, landforms, and the many ways Earth’s resources shape our world.
We are seeking parents, family members, or community connections who have knowledge, experience, or skills in areas such as geology, earth sciences, mining, environmental science, engineering, agriculture, surveying, or related fields. We would love to hear from anyone willing to support our learning through a guest presentation, hands-on activity, workplace visit, or excursion opportunity.
If you hold a current Working with Children Check, have participated in one of our 'Child Safety Induction Sessions' this year and have some time to share your expertise, we would be delighted to connect with you.
Please feel free to contact your child's classroom teacher or Melissa Cornell at mcornell@spballarat.catholic.edu.au for further information.
Thank you for helping us bring real-world science to life for our students!
