Grade 1 and 2

Term 3 Reflection and Sleepover

P-2 Mad Hatter Tea Party and Sleepover

On Thursday 12th September we saw the Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students go from strength to strength. To start our afternoon the students entered the wonderful world of a Mad Hatter Tea Party. Everywhere you looked there were decorations, lights and the magic of our theme, Mad Hatter. The students entered in fine style with their own decorated Mad Hatter hats and sat down to eat their afternoon tea. We then played pin the mouth on the Cheshire Cat and moved to the oval for some fun activities. It was then time to bid the Prep students goodbye and the Grade 1 and 2 students entered the Mad Hatter party again.

Some mystical and fun music started to play and the students were surprised with the Mad Hatter himself. He provided all the magic and the crowd was in awe of what he was doing. This disappeared and reappeared across the room, we had hats made out of ripped paper and laughter from all around the room. It wouldn't be a celebration at school unless there was some music playing to get us ready for dinner. It was a pizza dinner and the room was buzzing. Soon after dinner the Grade 2 students said goodbye to the Grade 1 students. Time for bed!...well not quite.

Our night continued with getting ready for bed and watching a movie. We were then ready for bed and slept through the night. 6am rolled around and many were ready to rise and shine, on went Bluey and we were ready to get going for our Friday.

There were smiling faces all afternoon and the sense of achievement particularly from our Grade 2 students was immense. They should be so proud in how they conducted themselves throughout the whole afternoon and persevering through their first night at school. We have so much pride in how well the students embraced everything, gave it a go and whilst they were exhausted showed they had a magical, fabulous and fun time!

Term 3 Reflection

As we wrap up this term, it's a great time to reflect on our journey and celebrate our collective achievements. This term has been a journey of growth, challenge, and achievement, and it’s worth taking a moment to appreciate all that we’ve accomplished.

Term 3 has been a whirlwind of growth, learning, and collaboration. From engaging in thought-provoking discussions to tackling challenging projects, we've all contributed to making this term memorable. We saw some amazing work come to life, with tasks that pushed boundaries and showcased creativity and dedication. Many of us have stepped out of our comfort zones, embraced new learning opportunities, and developed new skills.

Also, a round of applause to every student for your enthusiasm and commitment. As we take a well-deserved break, let’s take some time to recharge and reflect on our achievements. We’re excited for what the next term will bring and look forward to continuing our journey together with renewed energy and inspiration.

Wishing everyone a restful and enjoyable break.

See you all next term! - Miss Buzzini and Ms Zanatta
