Hats: "no hat, no play"
Our SunSmart policy has begun. Please pack your child's hat everyday as we have a ''no hat, no play'' rule. Students not wearing a Port Melbourne Primary School hat will be asked to sit in the gym. Please remember to clearly name your child's hat, they have a tendency to get left behind in all the excitement of the day. You can buy hats at PSW or at our Second Hand Uniform Shop.
Spring clean furniture sale
Check out our Facebook Marketplace listing to pick up a bargain. We have a range of retired classroom furniture for sale, from storage to desks and bookshelves.

Student-free days
Our staff planning and report writing days are booked in for the year. Students are not required to attend school on the following days:
- Friday 15 November
- Monday 9 December.
You can book into the TeamKids vacation care program on these days.
2025 term dates
- Term 1: 29* January - 4 April 2025
We have a staggered start to Term 1.- 29 January: student free day - staff planning day.
- Thursday 30 January: Year 1-6 students start.
- Friday 31 January: Prep students start. Preps also have the first five Wednesdays off in Term 1.
- Term 2: 22 April - 4 July 2025
- Term 3: 21 July - 19 September
- Term 4: 6 October - 19 December.
