The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is a big step in the life of a believer. Reconciliation (once called Confession or Penance) is the sacrament of God’s loving forgiveness. The word reconciliation comes from a word that means “coming back together again.” There are times when we need to ask God to forgive us. We can do this in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Our Year 3 students who have been baptised in a Catholic Church are invited to make their First Reconciliation next term.
Reconciliation Faith Formation Evening: Thursday 10th October
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Wednesday 30th October
(times of both events are to be confirmed)
Please use this link www.schoolinterviews.com.au to register your child and indicate if you need a sacramental stole.
Event code: 5atec
Further information will given to families by the end of the term. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Cath - cpalmer@shnewport.catholic.edu.au
What a success our Learning Showcases were this term. The students were extremely excited to share their learning. You know the educators and students have succeeded when you hear students confidently sharing their learning and answering questions with their families and friends.
We are extremely thankful for our families and friends who came in and supported our students learning. We value our Learning Showcases and the opportunity it provides our students to share their work with their families; strengthening their learning and fostering pride in their achievements, as we continue to build a supportive connection between school and home.
