AFL Northern Metro Primary School Championships
A Fantastic Effort by our boys in the Red and White!
On Thursday 19th September, our school participated in the AFL Northern Metro Primary School Championships held at JC Donath Reserve in Reservoir. The boys from School of the Good Shepherd played with great determination and teamwork, competing against strong schools in Pool A. In windy and blustery conditions, it took some time to adjust to the conditions and also the rules and regulations of the 9v9 format.
However after experiencing the first game against Research, SoGS gathered together and were able to string togethersome solid performances for the rest of the day. Against strong opposition they challenged and proved to be no ‘pushover’ when it came to playing.
I would like to express my gratitude to every player who contributed to today. It was a challenging day but we all made sure that we continued to stay positive and work together.

Unfortunately, Noah M and Rhys L were absent on the day, but they were with the team in spirit.
A special thank you goes out to Coach Nick, who came along to help coach the team on the day. His guidance and support were instrumental in the team's performance.
We’d also like to extend a big thank you to the parents who came to watch and support the boys. Your encouragement on the sidelines made a huge difference and helped lift the team’s spirits throughout the day.
Well done to all the boys for their hard work, effort, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to even more success in future competitions!
Congratulations to Milla K in Grade 3B who made the Representative Team in Basketball for Keilor Thunder. At only 8 years old, she is one of the youngest in the squad and we are all
so very proud of her efforts and achievements so far!
Well done Milla!
