School of the Good Shepherd is a SunSmart School
As the weather warms up in the following weeks, we remind our families that SOGS is a registered SunSmart School. Please refer to the information below to prepare for warmer days ahead. SOGS students are required to wear a school hat during this warmer weather.
We ask that you support your child and teach them how to apply sunscreen in the morning so that they can reapply during the day. We encourage families to send personal mini sunscreen bottles for reapplications.
The rule ‘No Hat, No play’ applies and if students forget their hat, they will be asked to stay in the shaded Kiss and Drop area during play times.
We are excited to share our Term 4 SoGS Clubs timetable! Lunchtime clubs are an important part of our school that embraces and inspires our school value of ‘Belonging’. Clubs provide students with a relaxed and calm space to build on their social skills and friendship groups. This term we are excited to welcome our first parent volunteer Elli Sinclair who will be running a Drawing club on Friday. Please refer to the timetable below if you would like to remind your child to participate. Having a copy on your fridge is helpful as a reference point.
- Clubs run for 20 minutes.
- No devices are used to encourage verbal communication.
- Students are then sent out to the yard for the second half of play.
