Multi-District Assembly Day

Interact Club

On Monday, December 2nd, student leaders from the Interact Club at Tarneit Senior College attended the 2024 Multi-District Interact Assembly Day (IDAD) at Camberwell Grammar School. This leadership workshop consisted of representatives from 13 schools within the district, promoting collaboration and skill enhancement among Interact Clubs.

Beginning at 9:30 AM, the event was specifically designed to assist incoming student leaders in their responsibilities in the upcoming year. The sessions aimed to enhance leadership capabilities for essential roles, including Secretary, President, Vice President, Treasurer, and various project directors. Simarpreet Sangha, the Vice President of the Tarneit Senior College Interact Club and the District Chairperson, represented both the school and the district and gave a brief presentation about the projects conducted by our school so far and the responsibilities of her role. The workshops included discussions on each club’s achievements, obstacles, and strategies for future success. Participants used a SWOT analysis framework to assess their clubs and set objectives for the upcoming year. During the lunch break, students collaborated to determine their project to raise global awareness for 2024; the students from each club agreed to support the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2025.  Motivational speeches from Rotaract members highlighted the global influence of Interact and Rotaract Clubs, emphasizing the significance of their initiatives across more than 20,776 clubs worldwide. Students and staff left with motivation and a clear vision to enhance their clubs and school communities in the year ahead.

We express our appreciation to Camberwell Grammar School and the district organizers for facilitating this impactful workshop and eagerly anticipate applying the strategies discussed to ensure meaningful change.
