Student Voice Council

The Student Voice Council continuted to be exceedingly active throughout Term 4.

Every year, our students complete the Attitudes to School Survey (ATOSS). This provides us with invaluable feedback, enabling us to get a  real sense of what is working well according to the students and what requires improvement.

Following the release of the ATOSS data this year, our Student Voice Council analysed the findings and identified areas they would like prioritised. Part of this process involved all members of the Student Voice Council facilitating student focus groups - the purpose of this was to drill down further into the student data and gain a deep understanding of what why students at each level think the way they do about specific aspects of their school life.

The information gathered by the Student Voice Council through this process was fantastic. Already the leadership team and wellbeing team are planning programs accordingly, based on this student feedback!

I would like to personally congratulate the Student Voice Council of 2024 for being so committed, dedicated and wonderful to work with.  Particular highlights throughout the year included the WHS Community Day which involved a plethora of working bees around the school and the Wizard of Oz Day which involved a fund range of activites aimed at raising funds and awareness for our musical production of The Wizard of Oz.

What excitement will the 2025 Student Voice Council bring to WHS?
